You have the option to play as a powerful attacking red team or a strategic defending blue team, competing against both a crafty computer opponent and another participant. The choice is yours!
Capture the Flag (eng. Capture the Flag, CTF) competitions are a fun and popular way to encourage participants to take part in events. However, traditional cyber security CTFs are often very technical and can be difficult or intimidating for many participants.
ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue offers a fun and exciting alternative to traditional CTFs that reaches a wider audience, from beginners to advanced. Instead of passively solving challenges for points, players compete against each other in live matches or against a computer opponent, actively attacking and defending systems and networks! Best of all, the ‘playing field’ remains level and competitive for all!

Victory conditions vary depending on the team selected:
For the Red team:
- Defeat the Blue team’s process control systems.
Effectively lower the blue team’s PNL to the red zone for five consecutive turns.
For the Blue team:
- Survive the Red team’s constant attacks for a total of 50 turns.
Collect valuable threat information to increase your threat understanding score to 100%.
